Founder / Partner
A native of Vancouver John has worked and lived in East Asia for over 38 years, Mr. Hardyment has become a leader in the leisure, entertainment and hospitality industries in the region and is an expert at site selection and project management. Mr. Hardyment was Asian Regional Director of Kuehne & Nagel (one of the world’s largest logistics companies) from 1978 – 1988, before founding Bayshore Pacific in 1988. Before becoming a founder of Bayshore Pacific Hospitality (TGI Friday’s, Texas Roadhouse, Dan Ryan’s and Amaroni’s), John has run, founded and operated a number of businesses in east Asia including Shintori, a Japanese chain brand in Shanghai and Taipei. Mr. Hardyment is current Chairman of Smith & Wollensky Taipei and on the Board of Directors of Casual Restaurants Ltd.
Mr. Hardyment was one of the founders of the Canadian Chamber in Taipei. In that capacity he was intimately involved with the founding of the Canadian Trade office. In 1988, Mr. Hardyment opened the British Columbia Trade office and served as its first director for 4 years.
